Hilary Duff is starting to make more and more public appearances. Not too long ago, the singer-actress split with her longtime boyfriend. In a China Daily interview, she has confirmed that her split from Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden was amicable and that she is looking forward to jumping into the dating scene.

The two split up in November after more than two years together and Hilary told Ryan Seacrest recently: “There was nothing - no fight, no he did this, I did this. It was just time for people to move on and do different things.”

“I had a really great relationship with him, and we still have a great relationship, which is really good and unusual. He’s a good person, and I always will care about him.”

When asked about her new single status, Hilary replied: “Dating is fun. I kind of feel like a guy, like I can do it now. But I feel kind of wrong at the same time.”

“I’ve never gotten to date before, so it’s kind of exciting. I’ve always just had a boyfriend, you know? I’m young!”

Meanwhile, Hilary looked lovely at the Grammy Awards. When questioned on her upcoming future as far as her career is concerned, she stated that she plans on concentrating solely on music for a while. Movie fans, don’t fear...Hilary has two films, Foodfight! and Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens, due to come out soon.

This week marks the triumphant return of Hilary Duff to the # 1 most added song at Top 40 radio. Hilary's new single "With Love" soared past the competition with adds at such radio stations as Z100 in New York, WXKS in Boston and KZZP in Phoenix. Hilary's video for "With Love" recently premiered on TRL and has already reached #1 on the count down.

"With Love" is from Hilary's highly anticipated forthcoming album, Dignity, which is due in stores April 3. Leading up to the Dignity release, Hilary will co-host a week of TRL, appear on GMA, and perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Ellen.

Dignity marks a new direction in Hilary Duff's musical career. The album has an edgy dance feel with elements of rock at the same time. Hilary co- wrote each song, and the lyrics showcase her growth as a young woman. The songs showcase both her confidence and vulnerability with depth and urgency.

Hilary teamed with Grammy-Award winning Kara Dioguardi (Gwen Stefani, PussyCat Dolls, Enrique Iglesias, Kelly Clarkson), as well as top producer/songwriters like Chico Bennett & Richard Vission (Madonna, Usher, Killers), Tim & Bob (Nas, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez), Vada Nobles (Rhianna, Lauryn Hill, Faith Evans, Natasha Bedingfield, Warren G), Fred Wreck (Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Fergie), Will.I.Am and Rhett Lawrence.

A deluxe edition of "Dignity" will be released April 3 as well, and will contain exclusive artwork, and a DVD video retrospective hosted by Hilary from her own home. The week of April 3, Hilary will also announce her tour plans for the summer for the United States, Canada and Europe.

Hilary gained worldwide recognition in 2001 starring in the hit Disney Channel series "Lizzie McGuire." In May 2003, she brought her character to the big screen with Walt Disney Pictures' "The Lizzie McGuire Movie." She went on to co-star in hit films like "Agent Cody Banks," "Cheaper by the Dozen," "Cinderella Story," "Raise Your Voice," "Perfect Man," and "Material Girls." She recently wrapped "War Inc." in Bulgaria, which stars John Cusack, Sir Ben Kingsley and Marisa Tomei. Hilary also recently launched her own Elizabeth Arden perfume "With Love" and a new line of "Stuff by Hilary Duff." Hilary has sold over 13 million records worldwide.

Conan O'Brien

Hilary was on Conan O'Brien last night to promote "Material Girls". As part of the interview, she talked about the crazy stories the press makes up. In one of them she talked about filming a rain shot and having her make-up run over. She said glycerin (used because it shows up on camera better) got in her eye and her make-up had to be re-done. A tabloid later reported she was having a fit and wouldn't come out of her trailer unless they bought her a plasma screen tv.

Here are some updates from Hilary's AOL Red Blog:

On MSN's "Hot Gossip" column, I was quoted as calling the town of Waldorf, Maryland as 'a pretty ghetto place.' I want to set the record straight. I have never called Waldorf 'ghetto.' If a journalist has printed that, they might have me relaying a story Joel told me about when he moved to Baltimore when he was 18 and had no money. The place he was living was pretty ghetto. The journalist must have found out where Joel spent his childhood and took my words out of context. I didn't say Waldorf was ‘ghetto.' The place he moved to in Baltimore was. Joel loves where he grew up, and is taking me there in a month to show me around and he only has great things to say about his home town and the nice people.

I just finished going over my concert schedule and I am happy to be going back to St. John and doing the concert that was cancelled due to bad weather. Since the show sold out so quickly, I will add on another show the day before! I am also determined to make sure that I finish out our South American tour soon. I am so grateful for all of my fans and their continued support. Without your support, I would not be able to do what I do. I am honored to be involved with such special people. I will be in NY a lot with my fashion line and the movie and the new fragrance with Elizabeth Arden. Well, gotta go. I'll talk to you later.
